Adam Mamdani

Adam Mamdani is an accomplished executive with nearly 20 years of experience in Canada’s insurance and wealth management industry. As Senior Vice-President, Distribution and Channel Management at Sun Life, he leads one of the country’s largest distribution networks, overseeing Sun Life Financial Distributors (SLFD), a national organization of more than 2,600 advisors and leaders, Sun Life’s third-party insurance distribution network, and Prospr by Sun Life, the company’s digital advisory platform.

Recognized both within the industry and beyond for his thought leadership, Adam is a sought-after voice on insurance trends, consumer behaviour, and the critical role advisors play in helping Canadians protect their financial future. Throughout his career, he has championed the integration of personalized advice and digital innovation to enhance client outcomes.

Prior to his current role, Adam held a number of senior leadership positions at RBC Insurance, where he led insurance distribution across multiple channels and helped drive strategies that expanded access to comprehensive advice and protection solutions for clients nationwide. Earlier in his career, he spent more than nine years at Sun Life in a variety of leadership roles within Sun Life Financial Distributors and the national office. Adam began his career as a Sun Life Financial Advisor, earning both his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. Beyond his professional achievements, Adam is deeply committed to community impact. He serves as Board Chair of First Book Canada, supporting initiatives that improve access to books and educational resources for children across the country. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid golfer, and finds inspiration in the balance of competition and camaraderie both on and off the course.

Adam holds a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) from the University of Waterloo and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Wilfrid Laurier University School of Business & Economics.
