Robin Shufelt

A blank slate excites me. While it may be scary to some, it is an opportunity. An opportunity to innovate, develop and bring something to life. In short, I am human centric, enjoy a good challenge and am driven to solve problems. I have always been intrigued by technology, especially as I worked in cyber as an emerging space. In this space I built cyber insurance products and programs for several companies. While technology is a keen interest of mine, I have overseen a number of areas in insurance giving me deep knowledge of this space. These include larger commercial, specialty lines, and large programs. I have worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years in various sectors. Throughout this time, I have experience building practices for new and existing products. I have been fortunate to lead and collaborate with exciting teams. I don’t look at myself as the expert in a room, but my passion for people and new opportunities enables me to be a leader who successfully brings teams together. I strive to arm teams with confidence in an effort to do things differently and push boundaries to shape the market. At First Acre Insurance, our team is breaking barriers for farmers and brokers through innovation and leadership by bringing technology to the farm insurance sector. Leading this team and solving problems for farmers and brokers excites me the most. As an executive, not only have I led successful teams but have had the privilege of working with and presenting to boards and committees. My deep knowledge of the industry allows me to push the boundaries while having a strong appreciation for managing risk and the interests of the Board. I continue to thrive in innovation and leadership with First Acre Insurance. Solving problems through the use of technology while keeping our stakeholders at the core is my driving force.
